Genna is pursuing a double major in computer science and mathematics at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. She has been involved in the Disengineering Society — a club working with audio engineering — and the WesReads/WesMath program, tutoring at local elementary schools.
Genna grew up in Davis, California and attended Davis Senior High School. In high school, she was a two-sport varsity athlete and Editor-in-chief of both her school newspaper, and school art and literature magazine.
In the fall of 2020, Davis High was completely virtual due to the pandemic. With extra time on her hands, Genna co-enrolled in Sacramento City College, taking a 3D modeling course. In doing so, she discovered an interest in creative applications of technology.
In her free time, Genna enjoys weight lifting and going for nature walks, as well as creating art and listening to music.
